ID Logistics optimizes drivers and distribution with Zebra TC26 and MDM
At the end of 2020, ID Logistics began collaborating with Reverse IT to replace their existing onboard computers with a mobile, future-proof alternative.
For the trial phase, Reverse IT provided Zebra TC26 Android PDAs and implemented the SOTI MobiControl EMM platform for centralized and remote device management. During the testing period, Reverse IT offered extensive technical support, demonstrations, and guidance, ensuring a smooth transition.
Three focus points
According to Chris Sauerbier from ID Logistics, three main goals guided the hardware upgrade:
- Improved solution for drivers
- Optimized goods registration process
- Better manageability and support for the IT department
The combination of Logi-App software and the robust MDM system plays a key role. With SOTI MobiControl, installations are automated, software updates and security patches are deployed centrally, and the IT department can provide remote support. Reverse IT also secured the Android environment to prevent unauthorized use of the PDAs.
Equipping all drivers
After a successful trial phase, all ID Logistics drivers have been equipped with the Zebra TC26. These compact PDAs offer:
- Fast 1D/2D scanning
- Reliable performance for Logi-App
- Durability and portability for daily use
