HANOS optimizes device management with Reverse IT
HANOS, an international hospitality wholesaler, has been collaborating with Reverse IT for over seven years. In 2022, a major project was completed: the implementation of SOTI MobiControl to manage more than 1,700 Zebra devices, replacing the outdated Windows CE scanners.
This solution provides visibility, security, and efficient management of all mobile devices within HANOS.
Mobile Device Management from Reverse IT
In 2022, HANOS switched to SOTI MobiControl to address challenges such as limited device visibility and cumbersome remote management. Reverse IT carried out the implementation and has since provided full technical support, including:
- Immediate resolution of technical issues via real-time support
- Distribution of Velocity Wldep files to the correct locations
- Advice on device configuration and optimal workflow setup
Thanks to this support, IT and department managers can centrally manage all devices, deploy updates and changes seamlessly, and ensure that staff on the floor remain fully operational. Replacement of devices
SOTI is used to manage a large number of newly acquired devices at HANOS. The outdated Windows CE scanner fleet has been completely replaced by Zebra scanners, including hundreds of devices for order pickers and drivers. Reverse IT replaced the legacy Windows CE scanners with modern Zebra devices, including:
- Hundreds of devices for order pickers and drivers
- Frost-resistant scanners for freezer and order-picking tasks
- Scanners for forklift use and access points
Approximately 1,700 devices are now operational, resulting in faster workflows, higher reliability, and continuity in the distribution process.
Long-term collaboration and added Value
The collaboration between HANOS and Reverse IT began seven years ago with the rental of additional scanners for peak periods. Since then, over 2,000 devices have been repaired (and are now under management), with fast service and cost-effective solutions. Reverse IT provides flexible solutions, centralized management, and real-time support, ensuring HANOS remains continuously operational.
Currently, even access gates at all HANOS locations are managed via SOTI MobiControl. This implementation paves the way for future optimizations, allowing other Android, iOS, Windows, or Linux devices to be centrally managed as well.
