With the Honeywell EDA51 and Logistics.ONE software, mobile logistics processes run faster and more consistently, increasing the productivity of drivers and planners.

Higher ROI

Costs & value

More efficient processes and streamlined workflows deliver a measurable improvement in ROI on hardware and software.

Reduced downtime

Availability & reliability

Thanks to SOTI MobiControl, issues can be resolved remotely and devices managed centrally, allowing mobile processes to run with minimal downtime.

SLS Optimizes mobile logistics with Honeywell EDA51 and Reverse IT

The connection between LPR GmbH and Reverse IT was established through the ESLA Group, an international network of night distributors and service logistics providers. Like LPR, SLS (Special Logistic Services) is also part of this network.

In 2018, SLS upgraded its mobile solutions for drivers by introducing new Honeywell EDA51 handheld terminals, combined with Logistics.ONE software via Aventeon and SOTI MobiControl for mobile device management.

Transition to Honeywell and Logistics.ONE

Finding the right hardware and software partners was a challenge. After an extensive evaluation, SLS chose the Honeywell EDA51 in collaboration with Reverse IT and Aventeon’s Logistics.ONE software. The decision was based on:

  • Reliability and durability in intensive logistics environments
  • Excellent support and service from Reverse IT
  • Optimal value for money

Reverse IT played a crucial role in advising and guiding SLS, testing different configurations, and ensuring a fast, effective implementation. Thanks to this expertise, SLS was able to set up its mobile processes efficiently and uniformly.

Mobile Device Management

Managing mobile devices, software, updates, and security can be complex, especially during night-time distribution. To address these challenges, Reverse IT introduced the SOTI MobiControl platform at SLS. With this solution, IT and department managers can:

  • Quickly configure and deploy handheld terminals
  • Monitor device status and performance in real time
  • Resolve issues remotely without driver intervention
  • Centrally manage security updates and software versions

Thanks to Reverse IT’s integrated Mobile Device Management solution, the entire mobile environment remains stable, secure, and future-proof.

Results and added value

Two years after implementation, SLS has demonstrated that the combination of Honeywell EDA51, Logistics.ONE software, and Reverse IT was the right choice:

  • Significant increase in productivity
  • Improved ROI (Return on Investment)
  • Streamlined mobile workflows and more efficient night-time logistics
  • Future-proof, scalable, and reliable mobile device management

Reverse IT not only provided advice and implementation but also offers real-time support from the Netherlands, enabling rapid updates, configurations, and changes for drivers and partners.
