For fast and accurate goods processing, Tuincentrum De Boet has been using advanced automation solutions for years. Recently, several barcode scanners were replaced, and a new app was implemented to provide direct product information and simplify and speed up the entry of sales orders. The Honeywell ScanPal EDA51 is a rugged handheld device with an integrated scanner and Android operating system. This device perfectly meets the needs of De Boet by not only scanning barcodes quickly and accurately but also by speeding up and simplifying work processes with a user-friendly app. The experiences with the EDA51 are very positive. The device is compact, has a clear display, and offers much faster scanning than a standard smartphone with a camera. Additionally, the battery easily lasts the whole day.
Colleqtive developed an app that enables warehouse and shop floor employees to get started with the EDA51 immediately. By scanning a barcode, all relevant product information is instantly displayed, such as stock, location, order quantity, turnover rate, and seasonality. Sales orders can be directly entered at the customer’s location. The integration of the Colleqtive app with existing systems and checkout solutions has significantly improved processes. Colleqtive provides flexibility and quickly develops new features to meet customer demands, greatly enhancing efficiency and customer satisfaction.
